I’ve never been fond of noodles, but this dish was surprisingly to my taste, and I couldn’t help but finish an entire plate. My companion commented that it was as sweet as Suzhou’s, but I found the balance of sweet and spicy to be just right.


Ingredients for Sweet and Spicy Sauce Noodle Dish:


– 200g of noodles


– 50g of lean meat


– 5 fresh shiitake mushrooms


– 1 piece of carrot


– 1 piece of cucumber


– 1 bowl of water


– White pepper to taste


– 1 tablespoon of bean paste


– 2 tablespoons of Korean sweet chili sauce


– 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce


– 2 cloves of garlic


– Oil to taste


– Salt to taste



Method for Sweet and Spicy Sauce Noodle Dish:


Step 1: Mince the lean meat and marinate it with white pepper.


Step 2: Dice the shiitake mushrooms.


Step 3: Shred the carrot and cucumber.


Step 4: Prepare bean paste, Korean sweet chili sauce, light soy sauce, and minced garlic.


Step 5: Heat oil in a pan and sauté the garlic until fragrant.


Step 6: Add the minced meat and stir-fry until slightly cooked.


Step 7: Add the diced mushrooms and continue to stir-fry for a short while.


Step 8: Pour in the bean paste, Korean sweet chili sauce, and light soy sauce, and stir-fry until well combined.


Step 9: Add 1 bowl of water.


Step 10: Simmer on low heat while stirring.


Step 11: In another pot, cook the noodles and drain, then rinse under cold water.


Step 12: Plate the noodles, arrange the shredded carrot and cucumber on top, and drizzle with the cooked sauce. Serve.
