This toast has a rich orange fragrance. Unlike ordinary toast that uses milk or light cream, I used almond soymilk, which is very healthy. Plus a cup of seasonal pumpkin latte, it’s very enjoyable. This recipe is for two people.
Ingredients for Orange Toast: 5 pieces of bread, 4 eggs, 1/4 cup of almond soymilk or ordinary soymilk, 1 bunch of baby lettuce and arugula, 3 small oranges, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/16 teaspoon of salt.
Steps for making Orange Toast:
Step 1: Beat four eggs in a bowl and mix well.
Step 2: Grate the zest of half an orange.
Step 3: Squeeze the juice of half an orange into the egg mixture, add almond soymilk, salt, cinnamon powder, and vanilla extract, and stir well.
Step 4: Dip the bread in the egg mixture and turn it three times to make the egg mixture soak the bread.
Step 5: Heat a pan with cold oil and fry the bread until both sides are golden. After taking out the bread, cut it diagonally in half.
Step 6: Peel the oranges and cut them into slices horizontally. Mix them into the salad so that the salad is coated with orange juice, just like being coated with salad dressing. Forgot to take a picture of the salad.
Step 7: Plate: After putting the toast on, sprinkle a little icing sugar and then pour maple syrup on it. Pour a small cup of vanilla yogurt and then a large cup of pumpkin latte (see my recipe: Winter Holiday Drink: Pumpkin Coffee Latte).
