Japanese Okonomiyaki Recipe

The original meaning of Okonomiyaki is ‘cook as you like’. So you can add your favorite ingredients. It is recommended by Shengmao that adding pork and shrimp, or replacing leafy vegetables will taste better! Ingredients for Japanese Okonomiyaki: half a Chinese cabbage, 1 carrot, 3 eggs, 3 scallions, 4 spoons of ketchup, 3 spoons of Worcestershire sauce, 2 spoons of light soy sauce, 1 spoon of sesame oil, 140 grams of flour. Steps for making Japanese Okonomiyaki: First, shred Chinese cabbage, carrot and scallion and put them in a bowl. Pour ketchup and Worcestershire sauce into a small bowl and stir well for later use.
Second, pour eggs, water, soy sauce and sesame oil into a blender and stir well. Add flour and continue to stir until the batter is fine in texture.


Third, pour the batter into the large bowl with vegetables and stir well.


Fourth, after heating oil over medium heat, pour half of the batter into the pan and fry for about 3 minutes on each side. Pour okonomiyaki sauce, black sesame and Japanese mayonnaise on the cooked cake and decorate with shredded scallions to eat!
